The Visa-commissioned white paper by KoreFusion provides data-driven insights based on a quantitative survey of 840 large European companies, complemented by 10 qualitative in-depth interviews, providing a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities, as well as the costs and benefits of card payments from the suppliers' perspective.

Study highlights1:

  • Merchants experienced an average uplift of 667 basis points in sales, thanks to commercial card acceptance
  • 33% of surveyed card-accepting merchants who do not accept card payments reported lost sales due to non-acceptance
  • 48% of surveyed merchants in Europe saw a decrease in bad debt or write-offs by adopting card payments
  • Accepting commercial cards for B2B payments can deliver savings of 50 basis points in third-party financing costs
